Dr. Voci specializes exclusively in breast surgical oncology and breast disease, including breast cancer, high-risk breast conditions, hereditary cancer syndromes, abnormal imaging findings, benign breast disease, and second opinion consultations.

In many cases, no formal referral is required. Patients may contact our office directly, and our team will coordinate with referring physicians and imaging centers as needed.

Voci Breast Surgery is an independent, out-of-network practice.  After more than a decade practicing within a large healthcare system, Dr. Voci made the intentional decision to build a practice where patient care, not insurance contracts or corporate policies, guides every decision. 

She believes women deserve the time, attention, and personalized care that are often difficult to deliver within today’s  insurance- driven healthcare model.  By remaining independent, Dr. Voci can focus entirely on what is best for each individual patient, providing timely treatment without unnecessary delays, thoughtful recommendations, and a highly personalized experience from consultation through recovery. 

Payment for your consultation is due at the time of your visit.  We provide you with a detailed, whats called “superbill” and guide you how to submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement, depending on your individual plan. 

If surgery is recommended, Dr. Voci’s professional surgical fee is separate from the hospital, surgery center, anesthesia, imaging, pathology and ancillary services.  We will obtain a pre authorization prior to surgery and the hospital will bill as usual through your insurance carrier.   Our team is highly educated in working with carriers and this process. We will help coordinate your care and review anticipated costs with you before treatment, so there are no surprises. 

This model was chose for one reason, to allow Dr. Voci to care for patients the way she believes they deserve to be cared for revolving around the patient rather than the system.

Yes, hospital-based services such as facility fees, imaging, pathology, anesthesia, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy may still be processed through a patients insurance plan separately from the surgical professional fee. Our team will obtain a preauthorization prior to surgery and these fees will be billed through your carrier. 

Yes. Dr Voci is a strong advocate for multidisciplinary breast cancer care and collaborates closely with trusted medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, reconstructive plastic surgeons, pathologists, and support services throughout the region.

Each patient is thoughtfully guided in selecting the oncology team and cancer center that best aligns with their diagnosis, goals and preferences. Our office works to seamlessly integrate patients into those practices for adjuvant therapies and ongoing care.
